名古屋城は戦いをするためのお城ではありません。ですが、名古屋城には戦うための工夫はたくさんあります。私はその戦い方を、本丸御殿の障壁画の動物たちを使って紹介したいと思い作品を作りました。この作品はガチャガチャの景品です。この作品を通じて、お城好きの方だけでなく、広い世代の方に本来の名古屋城の魅力に気づいてもらえれば嬉しいです。

Nagoya Castle is not a castle built for warfare. However, there are many devices for fighting. I designed these works to introduce how these devices were to be utilized during a battle by using animals such as cocks, tigers, and leopards that appear in the screen and wall paintings in Honmaru Goten Palace. The works are designed as capsule toys and made of ceramic. The animals are in the same posture as in the paintings, but they are armed. It would be my pleasure if not only those who like castle but also people of wide generations could notice the charms of Nagoya Castle through these works.
