名古屋城で販売されている商品はどれも金鯱や本丸の動物の物ばかり。それ以外の伝統的な技術を知ってほしいと思い、日常に取り入れやすいテキスタイル製品という形で提案します。本丸御殿や名古屋城の伝統技術に興味を持ってもらうきっかけのひとつになることを目指しました。釘隠しの華やかなデザインを基調とし、その中にも落ち着きのあるデザインになるよう意識しました。

Almost all souvenir goods sold at Nagoya Castle are relating only to the golden dolphins or animals that appear in the wall paintings in Honmaru Goten Palace. As I wanted visitors to know of other traditional techniques, I designed textile products that can be used in daily life. Hopefully, these products would be one of the opportunities for the visitors to have interest in traditional craftmanship utilized in Honmaru Goten Palace and Nagoya Castle. Taking inspiration from flowery designs of the nail covers, I aimed for somewhat subdued designs.
